50+ Is taking a pay cut the short cut to a new job?

Will taking a paycut lead 50+ job seekers to a new job faster? The results of our survey amongst HR professionals which we conducted in the first 3 months of 2018  show:

54,4% say NO resp. in tendency NO.

This result reflects what we experience in our daily practice of professional reorientation: finding a new job, particularly for 50+ agers is and remains demanding; agreeing to take a pay cut alone will not facilitate the process.
